The tradition of giving a bomboniere (favour)
dates back over a thousand years.
Today the tradition continues and a present of five sugared almonds or alternative chocolate
in a decorated bomboniere are given to each guest or family unit attending celebrations
Considered as the brides way of acknowledging and personally
thanking her guests for participating in the ceremony on her special day.
